Environmental Compliance
Major League Electronics is committed to staying aligned with the RoHS (the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment) directives being implemented worldwide. MLE offers a vast array of products which are compliant with the RoHS Directive as it is currently written.
Major League's surface mount products are compliant to JEDEC J-STD-020C. MLE's MSL level is classified as 1. J-STD-020C is not applicable for thru hole components.

RoHS Compliant:
This product complies with Directive 2002/95/EC as it is currently written.
Lead-Free Wave Solderable:
This product is compatible with wave solder temperatures of 260°C+ with maximum exposure of the termination pins to the solder wave for 6 seconds.
Lead-Free Reflow Solderable:
This product can withstand the elevated temperatures associated with reflow of 260°C+ and the extended dwell times required during processing.
Material Information:
Insulators:
All Major League plastics are RoHS compliant and are capable of withstanding lead-free wave soldering temperatures of 260°C for 6 seconds since the plastic is shielded by the board from the peak temperatures required for the solder to wet the tail.
Major League's insulators comply with the directive as it is currently written.
Contacts and Pins:
Some of Major League's pin materials may contain unintentionally added, near trace quantities of lead and/or cadmium. These substances do not exceed the allowable amount set forth by the initiative. Call MLE if you have questions concerning this information.
Plating:
All plating offered by Major League is RoHS Compliant. Major League has decided to make Matte Tin our standard tin plating for all product series. Matte Tin replaces standard Bright Acid Tin on these components.
In an effort to make the transition from Non RoHS to compliant as easy and transparent as possible, all products that meet the RoHS Directive will be marked as our standard part numbers but with the suffix -LF at the end of each part number. (i.e. TSHS-110-D-06-A-GT-LF)
Non-Compliant Products:
Major League has the ability to offer products containing lead to customers with this requirement. This material is subject to minimums and would be issued a custom part number (CRD). Please contact our customer service department if you require non-compliant components at
